Healing Hearts Hospice

Healing Hearts Hospice is a pregnancy/infant loss program of the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Tucson. Hospice care provides a different kind of hope; hope of time with your baby, hope of collecting memories and keepsakes to validate your baby’s life, hope of uncomplicated grief by being prepared. The best care we can give you is not to protect you from pain but to support your though it.

Finding our during your pregnancy that your baby has a life-limiting condition may overwhelm you with strong feelings and many questions. You are faced with heart breaking decisions that must be made in a short period of time. Healing Hearts Hospice is designed to support parents of an unborn baby diagnosed with a fatal birth defect.

We would like to join you on this difficult journey and provide support and guidance as you plan for the rest of your pregnancy, delivery and when necessary, saying good-bye. We will work alongside your care provider and the hospital where you will deliver.

The Life Resource Center is designed to reward the efforts of parents as they seek to improve their parenting skills. The Life Resource Center (LRC) provides classes, video viewing, mentors, community involvement, and personal growth meetings to enable mothers and fathers to fulfill their commitment to their family and to their future. Up to 10 LRC Coupons per hour can be earned by attending a variety of activities. LRC Coupons can then be exchanged for items in our on-site store.

Orientation appointment can be made with one of our volunteer counselors to learn about our program - attendees earn 5 LRC coupons just for coming. More coupons can be earned by attending meetings, taking classes, watching selected videos, volunteering in the community, attending church and participating in library story time and/or play groups with children.

What do good friendships look like and how can I be a good friend? What is the truth about sex; who should I believe, my friends or the Bible? What is going on with my body? Boys!! Healthy relationships?? What is purity and how can anyone truly live up to God's standards? Does God love me even when I "mess up" really bad?

Join the growing number of mother-daughter teams who are exploring what the Bible says about these and other crucial topics that pre-teen and teenage girls wrestle with. “What Every Girl Should Know” is a 15 week Bible study written by Victoria L. Barnes that provides an opportunity for mothers to discuss spiritual issues, sexual purity, drug and alcohol abuse, and many other sensitive topics with their daughters as they study God's Word together This small group Bible study encourages sexual abstinence before marriage and invites girls to uphold sexual purity in their own lives. Bible study materials and leader's guides are now available to use in your church or small group.

The seven objectives of the ministry include:
Addressing sexual sin issues of men to include abortion; Sharing Christ's love for men;
Healing lives from shame in the light of Christ; Setting men free to protect and provide;
Giving men a safe place to grow, be encouraged, and be strengthened in Christ; Bringing men before the cross to serve; Developing men to disciple other men

Raising Awareness
There is a need to raise awareness of this issue today. Men and abortion are simply not discussed today, especially in the secular world. But men are part of the process and need to be involved in the outcome.
By raising awareness of the role men have in abortion, the hope is to first, begin to reduce abortions by getting men to think twice before they create situations which lead to abortion and second, begin to get men to accept their responsibility toward women, their communities, and ultimately, God, for their actions.

Accepting Responsibility
By raising awareness of the issue, the process can begin to get men to accept
responsibility for their actions, whether they are post-abortive, with immediate needs,
engaged in a lifestyle of sexual sin, a family member of a man in one of these situations or simply a man who wants to be a disciple.

Healing
Finally, by raising awareness and getting men to accept responsibility for their actions, the process of healing can begin. First by getting men to ask for forgiveness from God and secondly, by getting men to ask women for forgiveness, hopefully introducing them to a life
centered on Christ. The goal is to see men become what God intended them to be not solely as perpetrators but truly as protectors and providers of the women in their lives.
