Perhaps my best Christmas gift was given to me in the vacuum isle of Walmart several days ago. A very nice looking young woman with two children smiled at me. That in itself is a gift since women these days rarely smile at men they don't know - even older men like myself! This award is given by the Registrar of Contractors Advisory Council to a Association and a General Contractor in each of the areas of the state - Northern Arizona , Central Arizona and Southern Arizona, for work that they did in the community they live in.

Over the past several years, Conoa has helped the Crisis Pregnancy Centers with many projects. We are eternally grateful for their support and are thrilled to hear that they received this honor!

CPC Begins Night Training

As the need for volunteers at The Crisis Pregnancy Centers continues to grow, a work friendly training class has begun.

On July 10th, 4 volunteers met at Mo’s Gallery for the first session of once-a-week evening volunteer training. “We were looking for a way make our volunteer trainings more accessible to those who have a full schedule with work and family,” Yvonne Morris, the CPC Volunteer Manager said. “It’s hard for someone with a full time job to commit to a five day training schedule, but meeting once a week at night should make this more accessible.”

Teens Cope With Unwanted Pregnancies Better Than Abortions

A new study published in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence refutes a long-standing contention that teenagers are better able to handle an abortion than dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. The study finds that adolescent girls who have an abortion are five times more likely to seek help for psychological and emotional problems than those who keep their baby.
