A Tax Credit You Should Know About!
Reduce Your Tax Liability
Donors may take up to $200 for single or head of household and $400 for married filing jointly tax credit for a gift to a qualifying charitable institution. (We are on the list under “The….”.) There are no forms to fill out; donors need to have itemized at least once since the base year of 1996 and need to have increased their giving over the highest amount given in any year since then (aggregate for the year, can also include giving to church, etc.) by the amount requested for the tax credit, as the intent of the credit is to increase giving to charitable organizations. For their own particular tax situation, they need to consult their own tax adviser.
Where to find information from the state: www.azdor.gov under research/rulings, etc, go to A., Az. Rev statutes, Title 43 (#43-1088), credit for contributions and explains the $200 for single individual and $400 for married filing jointly. The forms is available online at above address – the actual credit form is credit form #321.
