Thursday, May 24, 2012 At "The Great Turnaround" Fundraising Event, featuring Dr. Bruce Wilkinson, we will take a look back at the people, the victories, and the lives saved and changed. We will also look ahead to the future, to the unfolding, life-affirming vision God has for The Crisis Pregnancy Centers, the church, and our community. There is no cost to attend. Event begins promptly at 7:00 pm. Dessert served at 8:30 pm. This special event is for adults only. Dress is business casual.

Brewer signs new abortion law
PHOENIX - Arizona is about to become the seventh state in the nation to ban abortions at 20 weeks or beyond.
Gov. Jan Brewer signed legislation Thursday making it a crime for a doctor to perform an abortion at or beyond 20 weeks. Violators could not only lose their medical licenses but also be sent to jail for up to six months.
The law supersedes existing statutes that allow abortions up to the time of viability, the point at which a fetus could survive outside a womb, generally pegged in the 22- to 24-week range.
Brewer has been on record as supporting an outright ban on all abortions at any stage of pregnancy, except to save the life of the mother or in cases of rape or incest. Read more...
